Public Health Committee:

Many of you, in whatever stage of education, graduation, internship or practice, may find yourself wondering how this vast body of specialized knowledge and skills (also referred to as "your pharmacy education") can truly make a palpable difference. In the last 3 years, ASSPSA has actively involved its members in multitudes of Public Health campaigns and initiatives, and through these projects many students have found the perfect outlet for both their growing expertise and their desire to impact the health of their local and global communities.

By being an ASSPSA Member you are...

Eligible to participate in all of our Public Health projects, and receive support, advice, information and encouragement on your own Public Health interests, whilst all the time increasing awareness of the pharmacist as a key player in world wide Public Health.

The Main event Public Health team joined in the Faculty in the last 2 years was the Medical Caravan.

At ASSPSA we stress beyond anything, communication and active involvement in your community. This means not only speaking to students within your Faculty and encouraging them to join you in the public health team, but moving beyond the realms of institution and truly getting out into the community.

Many Campaigns can be made by the Public Health team..

- Diabetes Awareness Campaign (DAC).

- Tobacco Vs. Health (TVH) Campaign.

And many other ideas..

Pharmacy Education and Professional Development Committee:

There are a wide variety of opportunities for involvement within the Pharmacy Education and Professional Development sector of ASSPSA.

One of the simplest ways to begin participating is to attend any of the many educational events organized by ASSPSA. Every year, ASSPSA Pharmacy Education Team hosts a scientific Congress where novel scientific issues and researches related to pharmaceutical science are discussed and presented, then evaluation takes place and the number one team represents the Faculty in the annual (EPSF) Egyptian Pharmaceutical Students' Federation Congress.

One of our participations in the EPSF Congress is the last Monoclonal Abs research which took the first place.

Workshops are made to encourage Pharmacy Students get involved in the career (The Workshop in the last Summer on "Selling Skills").

An ASSPSA Bulletin devoted to pharmacy education is written. And we are always looking for innovative and interesting articles for publication related to the advancement of pharmacy education.

Each Member Association of International Pharmaceutical Student Federation (IPSF) organizes the placement of students, with the IPSF Student Exchange Chairperson and Committee acting as a forum for internal and external communication and advice constantly working towards expanding the program.

Each Member Country elects or appoints a Student Exchange Officer (SEO) who represents his or her national organization at national and international levels.
