4- Member of Workshop of Computer Drug Design for Pharmacophore Generation using Catalyst Softwares Modules, Organized by the International Accelrys Company and hold at Cambridge/UK in November 2- 25, 2001. (This was followed by establishing the computer aided drug design laboratory which was done by me). Then sharing with Mrs. Tien Luu (the main Trainer of Accelrys Ltd company) to train all the staff members of the pharmaceutical chemistry department of Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University for the use of Catalyst and Cerius 2 Modules in Drug Design.
5- Invited supervisor in the Creative Conference of Arabic students at Bayrut, October, 2002.
6- Invited speaker in the Conference of the international pharmaceutical Science conferences which were hold at Tripoli, April, 2003 and at Beghazy, May, 2004.
7- Main organizer of TWO WORKSHOPS in Computer-Aided Drug Design which was hold at Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, (At March, 2002 and April, 2003), for training staff members of pharmaceutical chemistry from all the Egyptian universities to use this high technology in drug design. The number of shared and participated staff members in these workshops reached 28 + 36, including professors , assistant professors, lecturers and instructors.
8- Inviting lecturer in 9th IBN -SINA International Conferences on Pure and Applied Heterocyclic Chemistry at Sharm El-Sheek City, Dec., 2004.
REVIEWINGS:
1- Reviewer for the research projects of the National Research Center of Egypt.
2- Member of the team of the scientific committee of the 9th IBN-SINA international conference, for organization, reviewing, ………etc.
3- Selected as a Reviewer for the CANADIAN JOURNAL OF CHEMISTRY, which is issuing by the CANADIAN QUEEN UNIVERSITY.
DEVELOPMENTS DONE IN EDUCATIONS AND RESEARCH PROGRAMS:
1) Establishment of computer aided drug design lab (constructed from silicon graphic server computer machines, connecting intra-network, and softwares package of accelrys molecular modeling modules), at faculty of pharmacy, ain shams university,
2) Establishment of the curricula of molecular modeling and computer drug design for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
1- Sharing in the establishment of the newly founded building of Faculty of pharmacy Ain Shams University since 1997 till now.
2- Association in all the meetings of Faculty of pharmacy Council, Ain Shams University.
3- Participates in all the Vice-Deans council meeting of Ain Shams University which help in organizing and developing teaching programs.
GRANTS:
1- Member of the scientific grant at Tohoku University for 3 months (May,1 till August 5, 1998). This grant was fulfilled at the scholarship of Professor Masataka Ihara (One of the most important professor in Japan who is interested in the synthesis of natural products). 2- Member of the workshop meeting in COMPUTER AIDED DRUG DESIGN, Pharmacophore Generation, using Catalyst, Accelrys Modules, which was held at CAMBRIDGE, UK, November 2- 25, 2001.

1- Principle investigator for two projects for the Discovery, Synthesis and Production of Egyptian Drug for treating hypertension in Human, funded by Ain Shams University.
2- Sharing in presenting ICTP and TEMPUS projects for the development of education at Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University.

Such collaboration was granted by Queen Marry University of London for my students Rabab Tobar to gain her Master Degree in the molecular modeling, drug design, synthesis of various new antihypertensive agents. Dr. Todd and Dr. Barker agreed to collaborate this work in their laboratories financed by Queen Marry University. A paper of this work is in press now.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTIES:
Acquiring the intellectual properties of two Molecules, one as antihypertensive agent and the second as anti-tumor agent, registered at the intellectual properties section of the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Researches.
SPECIAL INTERESTS IN TEACHING:
Organic chemistry branches:
Aliphatic, Aromatic, Heterocycles, Polynuclear, Polymers, Spectroscopy, Stereochemistry, Asymmetric Synthesis,….etc. Practical identification and synthesis of various organic molecules especially drugs.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry branches:
Teaching of Antimetabolites, Anti-infective agents, antiviral agents (especially Anti-HIV-1, anti-Hepatitis B & C), Anti-Cancer, antibiotics, CNS depressants and stimulants, Cardiovascular and antihypertensive agents, Antidiabetics, Anti-cholesterols, Drug Metabolism, Non-Computational and Computational molecular modeling Drug Design. The practical part involves teaching the different methods of drugs analysis, either by titration or by spectrophotometry. Also, it involves teaching the practical molecular modeling and design of new Chemical entities using Catalyst and Cerius 2 softwares packages (of Accelrys) which are running in SGI-fuel computer workstation under the commands of UNIX system.
SPECIAL INTERESTS IN RESEARCH:
Synthetic Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, which are rationalized by Molecular modeling to design new molecules, Asymmetric Synthesis. The main topics are in hydantoins, Coumarines, quinazolines, pyrrole derivatives, imidazoquinazolines, Biphenyl-tetrazoles and Arylpiperazines linked to various heterocycles.
