The Department

The department is concerned with teaching courses of clinical pharmacy which help the student get the applicatory information needed to give the patients a better services. The clinical pharmacy concept is established upon the basic fact that the clinical pharmacist is a main member in the health care team responsible for basic tasks like taking patient history , therapeutic drug monitoring , patient counseling and insuring that there is no any possible drug interactions or significant adverse drug reaction. More over , the clinical pharmacist supports the other health care team members with the necessary drug and toxin information they may need during their work.       

That’s why the department is concerned with teaching a number of theoretical and practical courses which aims at supplying the students with the primary information they may need about disease , disease etiology , symptoms , possible treatment plans , pharmacokinetic behavior of different drugs , possible drug interactions and significant adverse drug ffects.
