The department is concerned with teaching
courses of the industrial pharmacy and other allied topics that are
related to large scale production of pharmaceutical products. The
teaching process is supported by scientific tours to the drug
production factories in Egypt. In addition, the department holds and
supervises research work in the field of drug development as an
applied stage necessary for the production of the pharmaceutical
preparations industrially, in addition to
developing and upbringing of generations of researchers in this
field. The department is also concerned with solving problems
hindering drug production.
